I thought this was a FANTASTIC start to Season 2.
I almost don't know where to start. So, my thoughts are rather scattered.
First-- I definitley like Kevin and Jason. They banter well. That's always a plus. I really hope Jason comes back soon. Jason does seem to be a good influence on Kevin. I see....growth on his part. (I do wish we'd gotten to see Jason and Robert together though. They "fit" well as brothers.)
Sarah was SO FUNNY telling Tommy about her and Joe sleeping together again. She was practically giddy.
I felt so sorry for her at the end though: Joe doesn't want to come home. Sarah probably was caught up in her desire for things to go back to the way they used to be, rather than the reality of where they are now. (And she was worried about Justin.)
I loved seeing Robert and Kitty making out on the bed--even if she was talking. (At least this time Robert said something about it.lol) It was still hot. I've missed these two. I hope we get a wedding this season!!
I like how they're showing how hard it is for Kitty to be marrying and working for Robert--and noting that the press is (naturally) seeing her as his fiance rather than his communications director. Good job with that.
Oh-- RL nailed the line when he said something to the effect of, "I'm not getting any, am I?" Hilarious.
I'm glad Robert came through for Kitty in the end. I totally understand his pov about not doing special favors, but I'm glad he did it for her anyway. Maybe she's rubbing off on him a bit, ie getting him to be a little less straitlaced.lol Loved his speech in the end about how he loves her because she doesn't fit into a box. (Looks like he'll need to remember that next week!) I do hope we get more playful banter with them again soon. I always love that.
Loved the Nora/Robert hug. He's becoming family.
Enjoyed Nora and Kitty's fight at the bridal dress store. Them getting taped by phone was hilarious. Then, Robert was watching it on YouTube.lol
I liked the bookend stuff with Nora and Becca. Well done, and fitting that it should be those two doing it. I thought what Becca said about Tommy was the MOST interesting part of her speech at the end: Who takes care of him? She also noted that he's the most stoic, which is true. He confides in the rest of the family the least; so, he then has less support.
Oh, I almost died laughing when Nora and Holly were at the cemetary and they saw that hot young woman at the cemetary and they were wondering if William had another mistress. Pricelss. I also liked how THIS TIME when Holly showed up to a family function, they made it make more sense (in my head anyway): This was so Holly could see Becca.
One TINY complaint: I wish we had more HAPPY moments that weren't happy/sad.
One other thing: I'm just not sure if I like Kitty getting Nora's wedding dress. Normally, I'd love that kind of thing--ie it's a family piece (much like I loved Kitty getting a ring that Robert's grandmother gave to him), and I"m sure that's what I'm supposed to focus on. But, my first thought was: William had a 20 year affair. I'm not superstitious, but I don't think that's a dress I'd want. I'll try to focus on the: it's a family piece part. TRY.
Anyway- I thought this was a great start to Season 2!!
