I love the Bauer kitchen scene!! The Bauer kitchen, livingroom and patio were my favorite sets on GL. It's weird seeing a teenage Leah though. Lucie is adorable and did a good job for her first time in front of a camera. I would love to see more of her! A scene with her TV Daddy would be fun! I got a kick out of her off-screen antics keeping her parents busy.

This was a great scene and I'm glad they had it. It made you feel that next year there will be a BBQ even if we're not invited anymore. If they were going to have a Bauer kitchen set anyway though, why didn't they have some prep scenes? Michelle being back should have taken over like a general. She used to have Danny, Rick, Meta, (Rick's wife of the moment), Ray and even Tony, chopping and prepping. It would have been great to see it once more.

I loved seeing little Hope. Was she adorable or what? Our Robbie is so big now. I am so happy that Danny and Michelle have one child that looks like Michelle; and after Danny finally getting the baby girl he's always wanted, she looks like him. Thank you, JLH! Lucie is a winner as little Hope!

BTW, why wasn't Jude mentioned? I loved the Bauer moment in the kitchen with Rick, Michelle, Hope, Robbie, and Leah; but it's a shame that Jude is all but forgotten.

I'm still trying to process the Father Ray/Nat scenes. I didn't particularly like his advice. He should have spent more time with his family - Danny & Michelle - and less with the hypocritical counseling.

I didn't understand James thinking that Phillip didn't know Daisy. Wasn't he (Phillip) married to her mother, and Zach is her brother, and doesn't James know that she lived with Phillip & Harley? Bizarre. Oh, we are probably suppose to forget all that. LMAO!!!

Boy, I love your analysis of Danny's conversation with Marina. I took it as a sop to the misguided people who liked them together. I think you were right though. That comment of Marina's at the end about "both of us needing him to leave to get a new start" could have been an example of her self-importance and not getting that Danny was never that into her, nothing to do with what he meant at all. I have to watch it again now, but I'm going with your take.

I liked Danny's line about how he thinks Robbie will be taller than him any day. It was just so REAL. I'm so glad they brought Patrick Gilbert back, it really does add to it. They have really messed up past storyline with uneven SORASing of the kids. I'm pretty sure, a couple of these were close, but it should be Zach - Robbie - Jude- Leah - Hope. However, in a throw away line Phillip recently said Zach was entering kindergarten in the fall. Robbie is still the right age, of course. Jude I'll come back to, but presumably he's still younger than Zach. Leah is now signing up for college. Hope is slightly older? Hard to tell and I don't know Lucie's real age. Rick, who spent the first entire 2/3rds of his life trying to have a child to pass on his special relationship with Bert, has barely seen his two children once he had them. Jude is now living IN GREECE with Harley. (Please just bring back Haley Sparks as Harley and let that horrible storyline end.) Still it's better than Blake and Ross' children Kevin, Jason, and Clarissa who seem to have evaporated years ago. James and Daisy (who do have nice chemistry when given a chance) are so off its terrible. They kept Daisy roughly 18 for WAY too long. When she came back, they re-did with Grady in a more dangerous way, all the story they originally did with Max the first time they brought her back, except Max was good deep down and Grady was psycho. Daisy was roughly 14 when James was BORN and he was her double step-brother and she thought half-brother at the time. Apparently they didn't see each other for years and didn't even recognize each other by face or seemingly by name when they met again a few months ago. He was a baby, but what was her excuse? They are so uneven on memory. When Edmund died ,I had just seen an old clip of Edmund giving Lizzie the stuffed white horse to fight cancer, and they showed Lizzie brining out what looked like the exact same stuffed horse when she talked about how he helped her. They can do stuff like that, but can't keep to a timeline or look at a calendar for anniversaries, even when changing things doesn't drive story. I don't get it.

I don't think Father Ray was being hypocrtical. He really believes in the tenets of his faith. How many times did he let the seal of the confessional stop him from helping Michelle and Danny even when it tore him up inside to do so? I actually think using Natalia's faith as a stumbling block is a good idea and she went to Father Ray's church (I assume it's still St. Michael's) since she was introduced to the show. She was always one of those who do a lot of work in the church and really kiss up to the priest (or in my church the minister), so for him to disapprove has truly been an issue for her.

Her self-importance and conceit is very much in full bloom. However, believe it or not, she knows that he wasn't that into her. I don't think she has any delusions about that at all. I don't know if you've been watching the show since Manny left, but Marina's described her time dating Danny as "dating a married man that was still in love with his wife", "he didn't want me", "he was the wrong guy, a big mistake", etc. Ummmm...all true!!! In any case, she knew he wasn't emotionally available - at least not to her.

I have been watching, but not every episode and I think I must have missed the dating a married man line. I'm sorry I missed it. I really haven't liked Marina at all since Audrey Dollar left and that was all actress personality, not character actions. I hope Marina knows what a backstabbing chump she made of herself over that whole mess. I don't know though, I think even when she knows the truth objectively, Marina is the kind of person who my mother describes as "still thinking she's the cutest little trick in the county" and can easily slip back into self delusion about everybody wanting her. Look at everything that went on with her and Cyrus, especially at the end of their relationship. She really thought if she could trick him enough, he'd love her again.

The SORASing of Leah is the biggest insult - she was born in 2004. UGH! But shouldn't James be in there between Zach and Robbie, or was he born after Robbie? And gosh, I missed that throw away line from Phillip re Zach. Yikes!! Entering kindergarten? Really? I thought he was older than that when he left for Greece. LOL!! This makes him even younger than Robbie!

Yeah. Leah is bad because they only SORAS-ed her so she could be upset during Mel and Rick's breakup which they featured for like 2 minutes and have barely used her since. I didn't put James in my list because it's harder to remember. Let's see. Phillip and Harley had Zach already during Harley's fantasy at the Millennium Party when Michelle was on trial for Ben's murder and Jim was still alive then. James was conceived during the plane crash when Phillip and Beth were flying back from San Cristobel the year before Jim died in the Christmas tree fire. James was definitely before Jude because James was part of what broke up Phillip and Harley before she slept with Rick and conceived Jude. Robbie was a toddler when Jude was born and Rick and Danny were talking about using one of those baby sling things and how great it was. So, relying on memory you're right, they should be about within a year of each other one way or the other. I got that far and decided to cheat and check Soap Central's character profiles. Neither James, nor Robbie have one, but in Lizzie's and Danny's respectively, it says James saved her from cancer in 2000 and Robbie was born in 2001.

Lucie was born in 2005. She was born in May, and Hope was born in October. Interesting that Robbie and Hope are both the right ages.

Uh-huh, that's true…BUT I also remember him giving Tony the okay to go after Michelle when he knew how much Michelle means to Danny; more importantly, they were still married and he (Danny) was still in love with her and just wanted his wife back. Sorry, I love Ray; absolutely adore him, but I see him as a hypocrite. He saw that losing Michelle and all the guilt Danny felt when almost killing her, nearly destroyed him, yet, Ray still gave Tony his blessings. Where were his "tenets of his faith" and principles then? You'd think with that experience he would understand that loving someone is not so black and white or right and wrong. Maybe I'm viewing his attitude towards Liv/Nat all wrong. *shrug* I'll have to rewatch his scenes after reading your thoughts. On first viewing, I was a bit turned off by his advice and his whole attitude regarding "what's more of a sin".

That's true, I hadn't thought about that exception, but I tend to block out the dark days of the Tony-Marina mess. That's my general impression from watching Ray counsel Natalia all along. I really think that from his prospective he's taking it very well, but I think he misses the days when he was standing up for Manny. I really think of Jordi as the one and only Tony and Tatoo Tony as somebody else who just caused trouble. Everytime I see a clip where Josh is making trouble for Marah and Tony I want to shake him. Tony could so easily have been Josh to Marah's Reva and if Josh had supported them, then maybe she'd still be in town instead of floating around somewhere, probably having loads of brief affairs with father figure men like Jeffery and we'd been spared the whole Tony-Michelle debacle. I still think Ray-Natalia's conversation was a terrible squander of a possible Manny historical reference that would have1. Pleased old fans 2. Remind newer fans (if any such exist) who they are and 3. actually been a fairly compelling point for his argument.

Rob, welcome!!! I love all your posts. I've so missed discussing this show, and D&M in particular.

I'm glad you enjoyed my posts. Talking about Manny to non-fans is just not satisfying.
