If you are like me, I'm still feeling the shock and awe of last night's episode. First we know the Tunisa desert is one of the exiting points of time
travel from the island. I thoroughly enjoyed the visits to Sayid, Walt, Hurley and Kate. Hurley's reaction to John Locke's visitation helped to reduce
the stress of the intense episode. I was thrilled to see Sayid had discovered helping others was a better opition to grieve the death of his wife. I can't
explain why but I am attracted to the character of Sayid. He is strong and gentle and outside forces have ruled his life.
The murder of Abbadon was a twist of fate. I can't believe that he is gone forever from the canvas. It troubled me to think that John would commit suicide even though he had been warned by Richard Alpert that he would die. The mean scheming Ben strangled John after learning that Christain Shepherd had told him to visit Eloise Hawking in LA. I am confused why her name set off Ben's reaction.
On the island, Caeasr is in a building looking over papers that appear to have been once in Daniel Faraday's possession, the formulas and maps. The female police officer escorting Sayid has located John alive and dressed in a suit. They are aware that he wasn't riding in the passenger section. Later, we learn the pilot and one of the women have escaped with one of the boats and have the passenger list. In one of the wide-screen views of the island, we see a section of the crashed airplane. Inside the building are several injured passengers; the most interesting one is Ben. John tells Caesar, "This is the man that killed me".
How wild is that statement?
Charles Widmore's explanation of the time travel differences to John Locke was nifty. The only differences was decades for Charles and three years for the Oceanic 6 and a couple of days for John. John learns why he has to go back to the island with the Oceanic 6, a war is coming and it is to prevent certain advantages from falling into the hands of the wrong people and winning the war.
