I used to buy for an outfit or a look or an event. Warmth and comfort weren't on the list at all when I bought my thigh high black leather stiletto heeled boots (don't ask).

Girl, that's mostly what I own. My husband calls them hooker boots, but they make them much nicer and classier than they once were. But I have stiletto boots in leather, suede, snake and alligator (before people chase me with torches, all my snake and alligator skin boots are imitation).

I have boots for warmth too, it gets real cold in winter where I live as well. I have two pairs of UGG boots which was bought for comfort and warmth alone. Then they became a big fashion statement. However, I don't think UGG's are in anymore. I don't know.
