Tammy, this is really a sore subject with me. Even after giving many shoes away, I have over 200, and over half of those are boots! I LOVE BOOTS! This is normally the time of year when I start shopping for them too, but I can't. Fortunately, much of this years line is so ugly that it hasn't broken my heart too much.

Anyone who knows me knows that my favorite place to buy boots is Aldo. However, even what they are carrying this year has been a disappointment. For one the round toe is making a good comeback. Now I own quite a few round toe shaped boots, but they are either suede and flat heel or if they have a heel, it's a wedge. What's in the store a lot right now is the round toe with a pointed heel which just looks off to me. The only ones I liked at Aldo were either so similar to something I already had or there were too expensive for me right now. I saw this cute pair that I liked a lot, but it was $600. So I have to step up and be a good mom and say no to it because now that Jordan will be in school full time this year as a kindergartener, the tuition and registration fees for both he and Taylor is going to $15,000 this academic year. Basically, I can't have any extras and I am working on acquiring a taste for noodles! LOL!

For those who do love boots like me and are shopping around, I say take a peak in some of my regular boot stops like Aldo, Nordstroms, Dillards, Macy's, and if you like to splurge Saks or Neiman Marcus. Neiman Marcus did have quite a few nice boots, but I haven't went in to Saks. However, according to a friend of mine, their boot line was really kind of blah this year.
