This makes me sooo freaking mad! Every summer this happens no matter how many warnings and public service announcements they make! It's ridiculous! I chose the option that parents should always place children in the right rear passenger seat which is what I thought was common sense, but apparently it isn't since people haven't been doing it. My kids are 5 and 8 so they are past the infant stage, but I don't even leave them alone in the car even if I know I will only be two minutes. Anything can happen and I will never be able to get those two minutes back.

As someone who had postpartum, I sympathize with mothers who may not always be "there". HOWEVER, how someone can forget their baby is beyond me. So I have a suggestion for mothers with a lot on their plate. When I need to be reminded of something, I put a post note of it on my steering wheel: "Pick up dry cleaning", "Make doctor's appt." etc. So therefore they should put a post it on their steering wheel that says "BABY IN BACK SEAT!" I am not saying this as a joke either because this is hardly funny.....it's tragic!
