This episode was just okay, for me. Sure, there were a few cool plot twists, but there was a lot missing, too. The dialogue was lacking, BIG TIME. At times, it seemed even sloppy. And don't get me started on the continuity issues. Locke's interactions with the O6 wasn't as dramatic as I was led to believe, (especially with Jack). I mean, Locke technically did not even go to see Jack, (contrary to what Jack has said to Ben this season, and in Through the Looking Glass to Kate). And while it was a fantastic scene for the actors, it was kind of the same old Jack/Locke argument that we usually get (and one that I'm really getting annoyed with). What happened to the part were everyone was in danger (including Kate and Aaron's safety)??

~The murder of Abbadon was a twist of fate. I can't believe that he is gone forever from the canvas.

Actually, I wasn't disappointed by Abbadon's death. Sure, he was an intriguing character, but I wasn't anywhere near as interested in him as Alpert or Christian. Plus, I think the character is committed to another show.

~It troubled me to think that John would commit suicide even though he had been warned by Richard Alpert that he would die.

My heart broke for John. AGAIN. Locke, for me, always comes across as a feeble minded weakling that is easily manipulated. It's been true since day one, and it's still true now. Say what you want about his "faith", but he gets suckered by everyone. His life is like this predestined cycle, being used & tricked, over and over again, and there is nothing he can do to stop it. In a way, it matches the time-loop theories...everything that has happened, will keep happening. Even though Ben has now attempted to kill him twice, how much do you want to bet that Ben will come up with a reasonable explanation and get John to do his bidding again? John's gullibility is caused by his desperate need to believe certain things (i.e that he's special). His character makes faith seem like a weakness, a desperation, more than anything else. He always manages to lose his faith, and beg someone to tell him what to do. I hope that the death of Jeremy Bentham makes for a stronger John Locke. A man that is more confident and able than the gullible fool that we've witnessed for so long now.

~The only differences was decades for Charles and three years for the Oceanic 6 and a couple of days for John.

Yes, and I'm also thinking that it's been 3 years for Sawyer, Juliette, Jin, Miles and Farraday, (after Locke left the Island).
