This totally sums up my feelings on the de-Walkering of Becca and tells a little about Sunday's show.

What are we to make of Brothers & Sisters (ABC, 10 ET/PT)? Major developments take place Sunday, and as usual with this show, wonderful moments abound - the best provided by Sally Field, Rachel Griffiths, Patricia Wettig and Emily VanCamp, as their characters work through some complicated mother-daughter issues.

Yet despite her fine work, VanCamp is also trapped in one of the season's most self-destructively idiotic plot twists: the "de-Walkering" of Rebecca and the introduction of sexual tension between her and Justin (Dave Annable), a man who, up until a week ago, thought he was her brother.

Sunday, the show tries to play that tension first for laughs, then for drama, both unsuccessfully. Never mind that changing Rebecca's parentage makes a mash of everything that has come before and pretty much destroys her mother's character: The mere hint of isn't-but-could-have-been incest is enough to make people's skin crawl. And either way the story progresses, with them united or estranged, it's apt to be annoying. Brothers can be whiny, melodramatic and absurd, but it has always been saved by our fondness for the actors and characters. Undermine that, and you really cut the cord.

"Self destructively idiotic".........yep. That's why I stayed in denial for so long. The only good thing I can say about his twist is that EVC really delivered. She blew that confrontation with David out of the water. This may be a stretch, but that's about the finest performance I've seen on this show. But, it wasn't worth the cost.

I did enjoy the Robert/Kitty VP/baby plot. Ever since Kitty got pregnant, she's been more interested in settling down imo. She still loves politics, but I think her focus has shifted. I'm not sure how much of a difference that really makes now though, given that Robert's not running for President or VP.

Sarah potentially losing Ojai Foods feels like a redux of the financial straits the business was in last year right before money miraculously fell from the sky.
It's sad that they're already repeating stories. (K/R's baby problems are another example.) My guess is that it is so Holly can bail them out AGAIN....and thus have a reason for staying on the show. After all, her lie about Becca SHOULD lead to her being tarred, feathered and run out on a rail, but because Holly "has" to have a presence on this show, they'll re-do an old plot. I think.
