Wow. I like this episode even better than last week's!! (And I loved it!) It was simply incredible from beginning to end.

It's hard to know where to start, so much happened.

I loved the look on Justin's face when he saw his family standing there. That was just a great moment.

Sarah was hilarious using Jason's absence to get Kevin to get her window open. Oh, and those identical phone conversations? Priceless.

Wow. They're really making Joe a jerk. He had sex with Sarah when he was already seeing his ex-wife!!!! I LOVED how Sarah responded to him--saying she'd wasted her time on someone who didn't love himself. RG rocked that scene. That said, I liked how they had Joe and the kids make things for Justin. People aren't black and white.

I don't know what to say about Rebecca telling Sarah the truth about her and Joe. At first, I was proud of her for being honest and keeping her promise to Justin, but then I realized Sarah had a point: Becca really was telling the truth to make herself feel better, and that is pretty bad. I wanted to slap Holly when she made that nasty comment to Sarah right after Sarah found out the truth about Joe and Becca.

Well, sparks sure seemed to be flying between Tommy and Becca's friend. (Forgot her name.) They're really hitting it off. Speaking of Tommy, I felt so sorry for him when he told Sarah that the reason he kissed her on the cheek was because it was the first time in a long time someone had been that nice to him (ie Julia). I really felt for him. I know Julia's essentially coming apart at the seams, and I feel for her, but poor Tommy's not getting cut any slack at all.

I'm glad Robert got to be the one to tell Kitty Justin was coming home; that was a sweet moment. Especially since he was the one how had to give her the bad news last week. Kitty telling off Robert's campaign manager was fun. Robert seemed to be enjoying it, too. Also loved Kitty telling off that jerk of a pundit and then watching Nora and Kevin abandon her when Robert called to yell.lol

I just about fell over laughing at how Robert matter-of-factly said he couldn't get out of the wedding to Kitty because he's madly in love with her. That was great. And I love Kitty calling Robert "honey." I don't know why, but I do.

I think one of my favorite parts of the episode was the Robert/Justin conversation. It makes perfect sense that Justin would want to talk to Robert. He's been through the same ordeal. And I love that Robert flew half way across the country so he could talk to Justin asap. DA and RL work well together. I was so impressed. I loved Robert telling Justin that the way to honor the dead is to not forget what happened--and he gave him hope that there's light at the end of the tunnel. Totally cute how Justin said he knows Kitty's excited about becoming a McCallister, but he's (Justin) rather excited he's becoming a Walker. I like how they're bonding the two men. They're doing it very well.

I also like what they're doing with Robert and Nora- with the teasing and genuine affection for each other.

I really enjoyed what Robert said to the pundit at the end about family and how he wasn't going to distance himself from his. His entire speech was awesome; if I didn't have to work tomorrow, I'd sit down and quote the whole thing. It was fabulous. He totally ignored Kitty's advice, and it worked really well.lol I loved the look on Kitty's face as he did it, too. She liked it. Kitty's smirk at the end to the campaign manager when Robert said he'd stop going to funerals when soldier's stopped dying was great, too.

I felt so sorry for Justin trying to make it without painkillers. Ouch.

On a side note--I find previews so amusing. They're generally misleading and tend to make things look worse than they are.

And about last week's episode:

Quote:
Kitty opening William's gift because she needed some comfort in light of Justin was a great moment. I only wish the gift had been more subtle or even comical to lighten the mood. "Be Strong" seems a little heavy-handed and convenient. But that's just my cynical take.

ICAM. I thought it was too heavy- handed, as well. I almost RME.

Anyway, AWESEOME episode. They out-did their premire eppy imo.
