I really liked the last Kitty/Nora talk. Kitty is the wise old married woman dispensing advice and Nora is the giggly teenager trying to find out if "the cutest guy in school" likes her. The role reversal was very sweet.

Erin, you'll be happy to know that Issac continues to challenge Nora to have a life outside of her kids. He asked her how she was doing and she started giving him the blow by blows of Tommy's marriage and Justin's relationship with Lena. He had to clear his throat and remind her that he asked how she was doing. I think it'll be a good relationship for her since she clearly has no idea who she is outside of "Walker mom".

Speaking of that, it was a nice touch that they let us know that Holly also felt undefined during the 20 years she was seeing William. Clearly, William was very controlling, and Nora was strictly the mother of his children while Holly was simply his escape from the stress of family. But in their own ways Nora and Holly (separately) are redefining themselves. There was a definite feminist message in there.

I think they juxtaposed the Kevin/Scotty/Jason dinner with the Tommy/Julia/Lena lunch to show Scotty and Julia trying to be civil to Jason/Lena despite the awkward circumstances. At first, Julia seemed to be more invested in saving the marriage than Tommy, but he really redeemed himself in the end, agreeing to go to therapy. I'm sure that was hard for him. He seems the most closed off of the Walker clan.

The highlight of the eppy was the Justin/Tommy talk. Bros before hos. It wasn't worth it to let Lena come between them. I like that they cleared the air, no muss no fuss. Tommy said it was times like that that he wished he could have a beer with Justin. Justin said that they could, as long as Tommy was the one to drink it. Hehe. I'm glad that he realizes that he shouldn't use any addictive substance. Speaking of that, I'm glad to see him discover that he traded the prescription pill addiction for an addiction to Lena/sex. He's in group therapy for addicts who also happen to be veterans. It seems to really be benefiting him.

Karaoke night looks like lots of fun. RG has a great voice. I'm anxious to see Sarah and Graham talk about something other than business, and since the preview shows him returning her bra, I think I'll get my wish next week. There's some powerful sibling stuff coming up for Robert/Jason next week as well, as the election seems to take a toll. I wonder if Kitty caught Travis's bug or if her symptoms are caused by another pregnancy? Time will tell.

Love triangle. Drama. All worked out in the end, though. The hero got the girl. Who saw that coming?
I did.
