Well, I didn't think this episode was of the caliber of the first 2 of the season, but it was still good. I guess it was a little too somber.

First off, I have to confess: I can't stand Scotty. Something about him just grates on my last nerve. I was hoping I'd like him this time, but I don't. Seeing him made me miss Jason. I'd have even preferred to see Chad. I did enjoy Kevin in lawyer mode. That was fun.

While DA was awesome, I really didn't get into Justin's taking meds story, though the beginning with him and Kevin in the bathroom was priceless. lol (Maybe it was too serious?? I don't know. It just didn't grab me.)

I actually enjoyed the Julia/ Tommy story this week. I felt so badly for Tommy. I'm glad he had Saul to talk to. Those two on the golf course making cracks about getting rid of Julia's dad was amusing and one of the few comedic moments of the episode. I really liked what Saul said to Tommy about people grieving differently; that's absolutely true. Tommy's way isn't Julia's way. That being said, I think it's horrible that Tommy has to lose time with his baby so Julia can grieve as she wants to. And as awful as it is that she blames Tommy, I found that to be very real, too. Also--I like Lena, so far. She seems like a nice girl. She doesn't seem like a horrible person.

Kitty and Robert's mini-make out moment in the hallway was great.

Courtney was interesting. She almost seemed to be a combo of sad and bitter. I guess what surprised me the most is that she still seemed to care about Robert (quietly noting that he seemed tired), despite her campaign to ruin his career and take him down.

I thought it was interesting that she essentially said, in the end, she felt left out of his life-- and by that point didn't feel she had one of her own. I loved Robert pointing out how the kids would feel when they found out about her lies; I was waiting for someone to say that. Her response was fascinating: the kids would have Kitty. She said a lot with that one sentence. I really loved Kitty trusting Robert and bluffing Courtney into silence. That was great. These scenes seemed...quieter than they initally sounded like in the sides.

Oh and Kitty does have a knack at getting Robert to listen to her.

I think one of my favorite scenes was the boys bantering about A Christmas Carol. That was classic Walker clan.

Next week looks like it'll be tons of fun: The Walker women at the spa. I can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
