Jordan Clarke, who played Billy Lewis from 1983 until the end of Guiding Light, has had a mild stroke. He was appearing in Venice the soap based soap featuring the actresses who played Otalia. It's become a bit of a repertory theater for former Guiding Light stars. Read more about Clarke's illness here:

Has anyone watched any new, promising shows this season so far?

I'm really enjoying Flashforward. The premise is that everyone around the globe collectively blacks out at the same time for exactly 2 minutes and 17 seconds. During those moments, everyone gets a glimpse (a flashforward) of their lives 6 months into the future - April 29, 2010 @ 10PM to be exact.

Wow. I've been watching Blake and Ross's story from 1992 (starting with SS's Blake) on YouTube for the last week....WOW.WOW.WOW. GL was so good back then, far better than anything soaps currently put out. Did you wonder how exactly the Showhouse they kept talking about worked? "Remy" shows us around inside and out, where everything was and how it connected from the Cedars cafeteria to the Bauer house exterior (where Danny and Michelle pull up in the rental truck) to the "airport" parking lot (ok, that one was just silly, only the "bus station" was worse, bring a bench along at least for goodness sakes!) Today, I am coming full circle with "GL" the soap. My first contact with anything "GL" related started with listening to the radio show. The soap migrated over to the new media,television with a 15 minute time period then up to a 30 minute time frame on a black and white TV. I was happy when the show went to a hour and in color. I saw the services at NYC this morning and one of the commentators offered a thought that ITA. For the folks that worry about the water boarding of the terrorist, you may like to give some consideration for the innocent people burned alive or chose to jump out of tall buildings on 9-11. I pray we never forget why our soldiers are in Afghanistan.
